Programs Ambassador - Nepal
Street Child is currently seeking to expand and advance a series of projects in Nepal which intend to provide marginalized children the opportunity to access quality education. This placement is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to an organization that is developing and scaling its efforts to enable out-of-school children in Nepal to access a meaningful education.
Enterprise Ambassador - Nepal
Street Child Commercial was established in 2011 as a unique fundraising stream for Street Child in Sierra Leone. A series of shops and cafes in Sierra Leone create a sustainable source of income by turning a profit which is then re-invested into projects. We are seeking to create a similar model in Nepal and looking for an entrepreneurial Ambassador interested in leading this effort for between six to 12 weeks.
Research Ambassador - Nepal
Street Child is currently seeking to conduct research on a number of issues affecting marginalized children in Nepal, to inform the design and development of appropriate initiatives. This placement is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to an organization that is developing and scaling its efforts to enable out of school children in Nepal to access a meaningful education.
Teaching and Learning Ambassador - Nepal
As a Teaching and Learning Ambassador, you will be part of an exciting stage of Street Child of Nepal’s growth, and will be working closely with the team and partner organizations to support the delivery of project pilots and the design and development of emerging educational programs.
Engineering Ambassador - Nepal
Street Child is calling for individuals hoping to gain valuable experience in the development sector by undertaking a voluntary Engineering Ambassador role in Nepal, helping to rebuild schools in areas severely affected by the earthquake in 2015.
After-School Program Ambassador - Sierra Leone
The after-school program will aim to engage children in organized sports and recreational activities. Team activities and sports have proven social, psychological, and health benefits and are a great way to build confidence. By engaging young people in such activities, the program will work towards creating a safe, creative and fun environment for children outside school hours.
Research Ambassador - Sierra Leone
This role allows a motivated and qualified individual to conduct research into a mutually beneficial area of interest. We are looking for several different types of research projects to be done, ranging from short and smaller pieces of work to more time consuming projects, into topics including gender, disability, family business support, street-connected children, evaluation methods, and teaching and learning.
Rural Schools Ambassador - Sierra Leone
This role will focus on supporting the implementation and monitoring of Street Child’s largest rural schools project, which has so far enabled over 6,000 children to access education in the remote rural chiefdom of Tambakha. You will be working alongside the Project Coordinator, Community Animators, and Teaching Specialists to help monitor over 50 Street Child supported schools in remote villages.
Teacher Training Program
We are looking for elementary or high school teachers of all levels of experience who are looking for an exciting challenge. You will travel to Sierra Leone during your summer break for 1-2 weeks where you will help us run some simple workshops, and work alongside our Sierra Leonean teachers.
Applications for the teacher training program will open in October.
