SUPPORT OUR EMERGENCY fundraiser TO HELP THOSE IMPACTED BY THE FLOODING IN FREETOWN

Thousands of Sierra Leoneans have died or been left homeless and destitute following horrific landslides and flooding in Freetown.

Street Child has launched a flood relief fundraiser to our supporters and the general public. 100% of all donations received will be spent as quickly as possible supporting our excellent, on-the-ground, social and livelihood teams. In the short term we will focus on food, shelter, and water. Afterwards we'll focus on ensuring that affected children are able to restart school in September; and then we will help affected families rebuild their livelihoods.

21 September update: our teams are on the ground providing support to those impacted by the devastating flooding and mudslides. So far, we have provided over 78,000 emergency food packages, including clean water, and provided over 5,000 people with clothing packages.

Empty bellies lead to empty classrooms. But without education, ending the cycle of poverty is almost
impossible. Our solution is simple. Reunite street children with their families, provide those families with the chance
to generate their own income, help them save for their future, and get those children back into school.

WHAT WE DO

Without an education, it is almost impossible to escape the cycle of poverty. We have helped almost 60,000 children back to school since 2008.

ACHIEVEMENTS

With sustainability at the heart of everything we do, we help some of the world's poorest people create a new today, and a better tomorrow.
