THE STREET CHILD AMBASSADORS PROGRAM OFFERS VALUABLE EXPERIENCE IN THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SECTOR, HELPING TO EMPOWER SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN THE WORLD
"I had an immersive and fascinating experience into the workings of the development world. It was very exciting to be part of the process where Street Child is really starting to establish itself in Nepal, and having the opportunity to research and get to know our beneficiaries and brilliant partner organisations."
- Lily Wakeley, Nepal Ambassador 2016
There are several ways to become a Street Child Ambassador. Our short and long-term volunteer placements offer a unique and meaningful experience, working alongside our local staff at projects across Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Nepal. Regardless of background and experience, Street Child considers applicants from all walks of life. Most importantly the program is seeking individuals who can meet our ever-changing needs on the ground. For more information, read our brochure.
The Teaching Training Program is a unique opportunity for teachers of all abilities to make a difference to thousands of children's lives in Sierra Leone. Our goal is to improve the standard of teaching across the schools we run. It will be challenging, rewarding, and exciting! While out there you will have time to explore and visit our projects, and have the opportunity to get involved in hands-on education work, travel to some of the most remote parts of Sierra Leone, and meet other teachers keen to develop and share resources.
Applications for the Street Child Teacher Training Program will open in October. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org, or read our program brochure.
Short-term corporate volunteer groups
If you are looking for a money-can't-buy opportunity to boost staff performance, why not consider a motivational team trip to volunteer at our projects in Liberia or Sierra Leone? We can provide you with a tailor-made package including hands-on volunteering opportunities (such as renovating a rural school), visits to meet our beneficiaries, beach parties, and a drinks reception. Prices start at approximately $20,000 for a group of five for one week, including flights, accommodation, meals, and some drinks. Note that because the price includes a fixed cost for Street Child staff to accompany you for the week, the price you pay per person will reduce as your group number grows (for example, a group of ten will cost approximately $33,000). We also ask each participant to achieve a minimum fundraising total of $1,500 prior to the trip; this way, participants will see their money actually being put to use on the trip.
We promise that working with street children is a truly remarkable experience; one which will change your life forever. Let's get you out there! Contact us today to find out how, at email@example.com.
